Week 7 - Tailor!

Tailor is a fun little bastard and his tail is the devils work! We were to make him bounce at least three times in no more than 120 frames. This is to learn about overlap and follow through as the tail does this... a lot!

Week 6 assignment - Pendulum

This week we got the change to animate something else than a ball. Finally! Even though I had to do my revision of my last week assignment.

We were to animate a pendulum;

"From a side-view only, create an animation of your choice with the root (driving force) of the pendulum. Animate the overlapping action of the pendulum as dictated by the animation and timing you have created.
     •   FRAME LIMIT:  Between 100-200 frames in length*
     •   Example:  Figure 8 motion, or a slow start with a speed up in the middle, etc.  Be creative with your ideas."

So I took the "be creative" a bit far this week as I have played it safe up until now. This is what I ended up with.

Week 5 assignment

Week 5 was all about Squash and Stretch. This is often used for anticipation and that was our assignment for this week.
"From a side view only, animate a bouncing ball going through an Obstacle Course.  Use the principle of squash and stretch as the ball moves through the obstacle course.  As the ball bounces, the weight of the ball should maintain the timing of a basketball/soccer ball as it moves through the obstacle course before coming to a stop.
  • Frame Limit: Between 60-120 frames in length"

I didn't manage my time as well as I should this week, but I did learn my lesson on time management. Always look on the bright side of things, eh? : )

I had to make a pose of my dear friend Stu as well. This week, the key word was Devastated. Not the most fun pose to do research for.
